Sodium Chloride PS previously dried at 110°,
Acetic Acid,
Methanol,
eosin Y Solution.
➤ Preparation.
Weigh 17 g of silver nitrate reagent grade in 1000 ml
volumetric flask, and dissolve in water and dilute up to the mark with the same
solvent.
➤ Standardization.
Weigh accurately about 0.1 g sodium chloride PS, previously
dried at 110° into a 150 ml beaker, dissolve in 5 ml of water, and add 5 ml of
acetic acid , 50 ml of methanol,
and about 0.5 ml of eosin Y solution. Stir, preferably with a magnetic stir ,
and titrate with the silver nitrate solution . The end point is from pink to
dark red.
